If you're looking for a Western horse who will be a blast to ride both in and out of the arena, Buddy may be the perfect horse for you. This lovely and kind 15 hh 2002 gelding is a joy to handle and ride. You'll fall in love with Buddy's friendly personality and his most amazing lope - we sure have!

Buddy, who is put together like a traditional Quarter horse, is a versatile, straightforward Western horse. He will excel on a working ranch, on the trails, or as a recreational horse for a person or family. With his great build, ability, and temperament, he could easily be turned into an awesome penning or rope horse.

He's a pretty laid-back guy, so he doesn't need to be ridden every day, yet he isn't lazy and he'll move forward nicely when asked. We've ponied horses off of him and he's been great with a dallied rope. With his powerful, well-built hindquarters, he can stop and turn on a dime. On the trails, Buddy is sure-footed and great with traffic, water and dogs. We have been working on his lateral work and he is moving off of the leg nicely.

Buddy is intelligent and is really quick to pick up new things. He has been a joy to teach - just show him what you want done, repeat it once or twice, and he's well on his way to knowing what to do.

Buddy has the most incredible lope that makes you want to ride it all day. It's like sitting in a rocking chair - and if you sit back, he'll canter along so slowly that someone could walk beside him. He is very balanced and picks up both leads equally well.

With his solid and correct build, and good bone, Buddy is strong and sound. He has the best feet, strong and of a good size, so he hasn't needed shoes. He's easy to catch (actually he'll catch you!), ties, bathes, clips, is good with his feet, and trailer loads with ease.
